ICU RN Job Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of recent ICU RN / critical care nurse experience
• License: Active Indiana RN license (in good standing)
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Clinical Skills: Strong critical thinking, patient assessment, and timely escalation of changes in patient condition
• Flexibility: Floating is required based on staffing and patient care needs

Responsibilities (Critical Care / ICU Nursing)

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in an ICU / critical care setting, prioritizing patient safety and quality outcomes
• Perform focused assessments and promptly communicate and escalate changes in patient condition per unit protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support coordinated patient care
• Document accurately and efficiently in Cerner EMR in accordance with unit policies and standards
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing and patient care needs
