Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Location: Geneva, NY (Finger Lakes region, zip 14456) — ideal for Finger Lakes nursing jobs and Upstate New York travel nurses
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: Full Time, 3x12 hour day shifts (7:00am – 7:30pm), including holidays and every other weekend
• On-Call: 2 on-call shifts required per 4-week period
• Setting: Float Pool — Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department (ED) units at Geneva General Hospital and SSMH locations

Required Qualifications (Travel RN / ICU RN)

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units (ICU or ED experience preferred)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current New York State Registered Nurse (NYS RN) license
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (American Heart Association or RQI)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to float between Med/Surg, ICU, and ED units across multiple locations — experience in a float pool or cross-training is a plus
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, and clinical judgment for critical care and emergency nursing
• Computer literacy with EMR experience and familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred

Core Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based, high-quality patient care across Med/Surg, ICU, and ED units as a Travel RN and ICU Registered Nurse
• Float between units to support staffing needs and deliver consistent clinical support across Geneva General Hospital and SSMH locations
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan and apply critical care skills for diverse patient populations
• Maintain patient confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to hospital policies and NYS nursing regulations
• Participate in holiday and weekend rotations, as well as required on-call shifts
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a healing environment through effective communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care
