Physician Job Requirements
- Board certification in Infectious Disease required
- Active North Carolina medical license required
- DEA registration required
- BLS and ACLS required
- At least 1 year of Infectious Disease or inpatient consultative experience preferred/required
- Experience rounding in a hospital setting required
- Strong clinical background managing complex infections such as sepsis, osteomyelitis, and endocarditis
- Must be comfortable answering infectious disease questions and consults
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient Infectious Disease consults for adult patients
- Round in the hospital and collaborate with the care team on patient management
- Evaluate and manage complex infections, including sepsis, osteomyelitis, and endocarditis
- Respond to infectious disease questions from the clinical team in a timely manner
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a busy consultative environment
- Adapt to varying daily patient volumes while maintaining excellent clinical standards
- Float between hospital settings within the Greensboro area as needed
