Job Details
- Position: Travel RN – Labor & Delivery / LDRP
- Location: Anchorage, Alaska 99508
- Setting: Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum unit
- Start Date: Mid-September 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Shifts Per Week: Typically 3 shifts per week
- On-Call: 2 shifts per 4-week schedule
- Weekend Requirement: 2 weekends, with variation based on staffing
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130-$2,250
Job Requirements
- Active permanent Alaska RN license required
- At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- OR circulator experience required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC-EFM certification required
- NRP, ACLS, and BLS required
- Strong adaptability, teamwork, and a positive, patient-focused attitude
- Comfort working nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as scheduled
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in labor and delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
- Support inductions, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C procedures, cerclage, versions, and bilateral tubal ligation cases
- Perform triage, NSTs, OB injections, OP infusions, and IUFD care as needed
- Conduct sterile vaginal exams (SVE) and assist with placement of IUPC and FSE
- Act as a supportive newborn transition nurse at delivery
- Collaborate closely with the care team to provide safe, efficient, compassionate patient care
- Float to Mom-Baby when needed and contribute to overall unit coverage
