- Shift: 3 x 12-hour day shifts, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Schedule: Every other weekend required; no call
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: September 8, 2026
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,510 - $2,640
- Setting: Labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum support environment
- Orientation: 36 hours
Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
- BLS (AHA) certification
- ACLS certification
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
- NRP certification
- Epic charting experience required
- Community hospital experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-based maternal health setting
Responsibilities
- Support obstetricians, charge nurses, surgical scrub techs, and the broader maternal-child health care team in the LDRP setting
- Provide safe, compassionate, and technically sound patient care under the supervision of a Charge Nurse
- Monitor labor and delivery patients and newborns closely and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Assist with labor management, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum nursing care
- Use evidence-based fetal monitoring and participate in recognition of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor and delivery experience
- Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines related to patient care, privacy, and safety
- May mentor or support students and new team members as needed
