- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
- Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160–$2,270
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 40 hours
- Weekend Requirement: Yes
- Float Requirement: Yes, to postpartum
- Call: Not required
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse license; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or approved fetal monitoring course
- Strong fetal monitoring skills required
- Experience with sterile vaginal exams required
- High-risk perinatal care experience preferred
- Experience in a facility with 100+ deliveries per month strongly preferred
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and occasional postpartum float assignments
- Two professional references covering recent clinical experience
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care for laboring, postpartum, antepartum, and triage patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and postpartum recovery
- Support high-risk pregnancies and manage obstetric emergencies and complications
- Perform sterile vaginal exams, assess labor progression, and document findings accurately
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered, including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate
- Educate patients on labor, delivery, breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, surgical teams, and support staff to support excellent maternal outcomes
- Maintain accurate charting in Epic and follow unit protocols and safety standards
