- Weekend Requirement: 1-2 weekends per month
- Holiday Requirement: No holidays
- Float: May float to L&D and NICU
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience required
- Current active RN license required
- BLS certification required
- NRP certification required
- Fetal monitoring experience required
- Experience in both Labor & Delivery and NICU required
- Strong background in postpartum care, baby care, and antepartum care, including antepartum monitoring
- Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to a fast-paced, team-based hospital environment
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth experience
- Support antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patient care
- Monitor fetal status and respond appropriately to patient needs and changes in condition
- Deliver safe, family-centered maternity care in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff
- Assist with newborn care and postpartum recovery support
- Float as needed between L&D and NICU
- Promote patient safety, education, and positive birth experiences
- Maintain professional communication and contribute to a supportive, multidisciplinary healthcare team
