Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery or obstetric nursing experience
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Current ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Advanced, and NRP certifications
- Experience with obstetric triage, fetal heart monitoring, and labor support
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care and maternity care environment
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to laboring, postpartum, and obstetric patients
- Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and respond appropriately to changes in maternal or fetal status
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, including circulating for surgical procedures
- Perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and support pain management interventions
- Deliver safe patient care for treatments such as magnesium sulfate and oxytocin
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate closely with the healthcare team
- Support patient education and promote a positive birth experience
