- Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Nurse
- Setting: Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics Acute Care
- Location: Tracy, CA 95376
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Shift Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 19:00 - 07:00
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,650 - $2,790
- Start Date: 10/26/2026
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery or OB nursing experience
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- Current AWHONN Advanced certification
- Strong experience with fetal monitoring, vaginal deliveries, and cesarean section support
- Experience with obstetric triage and charge nurse experience preferred
- Ability to complete onboarding, documentation, and compliance requirements on time
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using external fetal monitoring and related assessment tools
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and support cesarean section procedures
- Administer medications and treatments including Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, antihypertensives, and antiseizure therapies as ordered
- Perform triage assessments for obstetric patients and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Support postpartum nursing care including fundal checks, lochia assessment, pain management, and patient education
- Maintain accurate charting and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to promote excellent patient outcomes
- Follow unit protocols related to infection prevention, patient safety, and newborn identification/security banding
