• Position: Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
• Location: Davenport, IA 52803 (Quad Cities) — Iowa travel nursing opportunity
• Assignment Type: 13-week Travel Contract (Travel Nursing)
• Unit: Birth Center / Labor & Delivery (L&D)
• Start Date: March 30, 2026
• End Date: June 28, 2026
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM); every third weekend required
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,070 – $2,180

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license (Iowa or compact state) — compact RN accepted for Iowa nursing jobs
• Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience preferred; travel nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) required
• NRP and fetal monitoring (electronic fetal monitoring / EFM) certification preferred
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and rotating weekends
• Successful completion of onboarding, health screenings, and competency checklists
• Strong communication, teamwork, clinical judgment, and patient advocacy skills

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to laboring, birthing, and postpartum patients in the Birth Center
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, interpret fetal heart tracings (EFM), and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, pediatric providers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal perinatal outcomes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and assist with obstetric procedures as ordered
• Provide patient and family education on labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and adhere to facility policies and safety protocols
• Support a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment for patients, families, and colleagues
