Travel Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLS/MLT) - Night Shift in Olathe, Kansas

- Start Date: ASAP, with start options around 8/24 or 8/31
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour night shifts, 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
- Hours per Week: 40
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,920 - $2,060
- Schedule: Rotating nights with weekend and holiday coverage required
Job Requirements
- Active MLS or MLT certification from ASCP
- At least 1 year of clinical laboratory experience required
- Strong core lab generalist background with blood bank experience
- Strong chemistry experience, including familiarity with Atellica Chemistry instruments
- Experience with ADM, Sysmex, ACL TOP, Iris, and micro setups with PCR testing preferred
- Comfort working in blood bank and performing tube and gel testing for type, Rh, screens, and ID
- Experience with microbiology PCR workflows such as Cepheid for respiratory, C. diff, GBS, and MRSA testing preferred
- Ability to meet credentialing requirements prior to start
- New graduates are not eligible for this role
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing with accuracy and efficiency
- Support core lab operations across chemistry, blood bank, and microbiology testing areas
- Operate and monitor laboratory instruments and platforms in accordance with procedure
- Carry out blood bank testing, including type and Rh workups, screens, and identification testing
- Support PCR-based microbiology workflows and related specimen processing
- Maintain quality standards, documentation, and timely reporting of results
- Participate in orientation and complete required onboarding steps before the start date
- Work collaboratively with the laboratory team to support safe, reliable patient care
