Travel RN Job Details
- Specialty: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Registered Nurse
- Location: Gainesville, Florida 32610; on-site
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,640–$1,730
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
LTAC Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
- At least 2 years of bedside clinical nursing experience; 1 year of ICU experience is preferred
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to provide safe, compassionate nursing care for medically complex patients in a long-term acute care setting
LTAC RN Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within the required timeframe and develop individualized plans of care
- Deliver, evaluate, and document direct patient care using the nursing process
- Identify patient and family education needs and support rehabilitation and discharge goals from admission through transition of care
- Monitor patient condition and communicate changes promptly to physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Participate in team conferences and provide timely, accurate updates regarding patient progress and care needs
- Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and nursing orientees
- Promote patient and staff safety by following infection prevention, safe handling, fall prevention, and workplace safety practices
- Contribute to a positive, efficient unit environment through teamwork, calm communication, and compassionate support
- Prioritize assignments, manage time effectively, monitor supplies, and support quality patient outcomes
- Assume charge responsibilities after orientation as requested and pursue ongoing professional development
