- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,860 – $1,960
Job Requirements (RN – LTAC)
- Experience: 2+ years of bedside clinical RN experience (LTAC, step-down, ICU, med-surg, or comparable high-acuity experience preferred)
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state requirements apply)
- Certifications: BLS (required prior to first shift)
- Certifications: ACLS (required prior to first shift)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team
- Strong clinical documentation, patient safety, and patient/family education skills
Responsibilities (Travel RN – Long-Term Acute Care)
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within required timeframes and develop individualized plans of care
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate) in a high-acuity LTAC environment
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Communicate patient condition changes to the care team to support continuity of care, quality outcomes, and patient safety
- Participate in interdisciplinary conferences and provide timely updates for care planning and weekly re-evaluations
- Initiate discharge planning from admission and provide ongoing teaching to support safe transitions of care
- Delegate appropriately and provide direction/supervision to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees
- Promote a culture of safety, including safe patient handling, infection prevention, and hazard reporting
- Support unit operations by identifying supply/equipment needs and contributing to a calm, team-oriented environment
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities after orientation as needed
