Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Pediatric Long-Term Care Travel Assignment in Mountainside, NJ

- Location: Mountainside, NJ 07092
- Setting: Long-term care / pediatric long-term care
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift Duration: 8-hour nights
- Shifts Per Week: 5 shifts per week
- Schedule: Night shift, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,130 - $1,210
- Patient Ratios: Days 1:8, Nights 1:12, Weekends 1:10
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active CNA certification required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Certified Nursing Assistant experience required
- BLS certification required
- Long-term care experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Travel experience required
- Ability to work with pediatric and adolescent patients in a long-term care setting
- Comfort with every-other-weekend coverage
- Ability to provide a screenshot confirming requested time off for short RTO requests
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on personal care to patients with complex medical needs
- Assist with ambulation, feeding, bathing, hygiene, and toileting support
- Reposition patients, apply pressure injury prevention techniques, and support safe transfers
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, weights, and other patient data
- Support patients using lifts, transfer belts, and mobility equipment as needed
- Maintain room safety, cleanliness, and infection prevention standards
- Observe and report changes in patient condition promptly to the care team
- Deliver respectful, family-centered care in a collaborative pediatric long-term care environment
