Job Details (CNA – Long-Term Care)

  • Employment Type: Travel / Per Diem
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $900–$970
  • Start Date: 03/17/2026
  • End Date: 06/20/2026
  • Duration: 14 weeks
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours/week (based on scheduling needs)
  • Shift: 8-hour day shifts
  • Minimum Shift Requirement: 24 hours (or 3 shifts) within a 4-week period, including at least 2 weekend shifts
  • Orientation: Must be able to complete a full-day orientation on Tuesday or Thursday
  • Holiday Requirement: 1 winter holiday shift required

Job Requirements (CNA / Nursing Assistant)

  • Experience: At least 1 year of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience in long-term care (LTC) (and licensed/certified for 1+ year)
  • Certification: Active New York State Nursing Assistant Certification (NY CNA)
  • CPR: BLS (AHA or RQI)
  • Ability to provide age-appropriate care for adult and geriatric residents
  • Comfort working in a clinical environment with potential occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Responsibilities (Long-Term Care CNA)

  • Provide direct resident care under the direction of licensed nursing staff within CNA scope of practice
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) per plan of care, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence/catheter care, turning/positioning, and skin care
  • Support resident safety and environment: respond promptly to call lights/alarms, assist with fall-prevention measures, and maintain unit cleanliness
  • Assist with nutrition needs: meal delivery, tray setup, adaptive equipment, feeding assistance, and honoring resident preferences when possible
  • Support restorative/rehabilitative care: range of motion, ambulation, transfers, body alignment, and proper use of assistive devices
  • Document care and observations per facility protocol (clinical documentation)
  • Report resident concerns, refusals, and changes in physical/emotional/psychosocial status promptly to the Charge/Supervising Nurse
