Required Qualifications
- Active LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the state of Maine or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience, preferably in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong communication, clinical documentation, and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and provide compassionate resident-centered care
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care (LTC) setting
- Administer medications and treatments safely according to provider orders
- Monitor, assess, and document residents’ conditions; report changes to the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers; support continuity of care
- Collaborate with RN, nursing assistants, social workers, and therapy staff to promote optimal resident outcomes
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), promote dignity, independence, and person-centered care
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with medication administration, wound care, and chronic condition management in LTC or skilled nursing
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical documentation best practices
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal skills
