Travel LPN – Long-Term Care (LTC) in Springfield, OH (45504): Ohio-licensed LPN with BLS sought for a 13-week, 12-hour day travel nursing assignment on a 30-bed MS/Tele unit. Join a patient-focused healthcare team working with neurology, cardiac, renal, and med/surg populations.

Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,230 – $1,300
• Location: Springfield, Ohio (zip 45504) – travel nursing / contract LPN opportunity
• Setting: 30-bed MS/Tele unit (neurology, cardiac, renal, med/surg)
• Shift: 12-hour days
• Hours per Week: 36
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/4/2026 – End: 8/1/2026)
• Schedule: Every third weekend, every other holiday
• Team Nursing Model: 1 RN + 1 LPN per team, supported by tech and HUC
• Uniform: Navy blue scrubs

Licensure & Certifications (Required)

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Ohio (required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
• LPN EKG exam required (medication portion not required)
• Completion of Basic Arrhythmia class with passing grade (required for Telemetry)

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year clinical patient care experience in acute care, long-term care, or physician practice setting
• Recent acute care/hospital experience preferred for med/surg and telemetry support
• EPIC EHR experience preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive care across the lifespan

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care and safely administer medications under RN supervision
• Participate in the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Perform patient data collection, focused observations, and accurate documentation in the EHR
• Administer ordered medications and treatments, including wound care and respiratory therapies (BiPAP, CPAP, high-flow oxygen)
• Perform phlebotomy services as needed and assist with bedside procedures
• Recognize, escalate, and report significant changes in patient condition—telemetry monitoring skills required
• Contribute to interdisciplinary care planning and participate in shift handoffs following unit policy
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and organizational policies
• Support a positive, team-oriented work environment and demonstrate professionalism in a fast-paced inpatient setting
