- End Date: August 16, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour days (6:45am – 7:08pm)
- Hours per Week: 36 (schedule may follow a biweekly 36/48 split: one week with three 12-hour shifts, the next week with four 12-hour shifts, totaling 84 hours every two weeks)
- Overtime Policy: Overtime is paid for hours worked in excess of 80.5 hours in a biweekly pay period
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license required (Mississippi RN or compact privilege where applicable)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent LTAC or long-term care nursing experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred; strong first-time travel nurses will be considered
- Experience in a 400+ bed facility or Level 2 trauma center strongly preferred
- BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
- Must pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) test with a score of 80% or higher
- Ability to float to other units within competency and demonstrate flexibility with scheduling (including weekends/holidays)
- Compliance documentation due 7 days prior to start date
Responsibilities (Long Term Care / LTAC RN)
- Provide high-quality nursing care to geriatric, post-acute, and tracheostomy patients in a long-term acute care setting
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Nurse Practitioners and ancillary staff, to coordinate patient care
- Float to other units as needed within your competency
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR (electronic medical record experience preferred)
- Participate in orientation, ongoing training, and competency validation as required
- Follow facility policies and infection control requirements, including mask requirements if unvaccinated for COVID-19 or flu
- Demonstrate adaptability in scheduling and patient acuity typical of travel nursing and LTAC environments
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:20
