RN Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state (compact RN license accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility
• Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check required
• Ability to supervise and assist nursing activities to ensure quality resident care
• Reliable transportation required (rural Gunnison has limited public transit)
• Preferred skills: medication administration, wound care, care planning, documentation, interdisciplinary collaboration

RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care in a skilled nursing and long term care setting
• Supervise and assist nursing staff and support clinical activities to maintain high-quality care and safety
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including therapy, social work, and physicians—to support resident well-being
• Perform accurate documentation, medication administration, and adherence to facility protocols
• Promote a safe, supportive environment for residents and staff; participate in care planning and quality initiatives
