• Location: Norristown, PA 19403 (Philadelphia area, PA travel nursing)
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
• Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN
• Division: Nursing (Psychiatric RN, Long Term Care RN)
• Hours: 36 hours per week (Guaranteed)
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:30am); every other weekend required
• Holiday Requirement: Must work 3 out of 6 major holidays
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020 - $2,130 (competitive for Norristown / Philadelphia area travel nursing)
• Care Setting: Acute Psychiatric, Detox (MAT/Suboxone, Methadone), Medical, Residential Rehab, Long Term Care
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs (white or navy undershirts); tattoos must be covered

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (willing to wait for license submission)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in residential rehab, psychiatric, detox/MAT, or long term care settings
• IV experience required; IV therapy skills and competent medication administration
• Comfortable administering medication-assisted detox (Suboxone, Methadone) and following MAT protocols
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters required (medical exemptions considered with documentation)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; experience collaborating with physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and addiction counselors
• Ability to float between acute and rehab/long term care units as needed
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with commitment to safety, dignity, and recovery-focused care

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care across five units: acute psych, detox (MAT), medical, residential rehab, and long term care
• Perform admissions (no overnight admissions), comprehensive nursing assessments, medication passes, and documentation in Cerner EMR
• Lead patient education and recovery-focused groups on medication, relapse prevention, and wellness
• Administer IV treatments, wound care, and medication-assisted detox protocols (Suboxone, Methadone)
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic behavioral health and rehab care
• Participate in crisis management and restraint protocols as needed (facility provides orientation and competencies)
• Assist with meal delivery, support psych techs, and help maintain a therapeutic, low-violence environment
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with patients and families and document care accurately in Cerner
