Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience
  • Previous charge nurse, house supervisor, or nurse manager experience preferred
  • BLS certification required before first shift
  • ACLS certification required before first shift
  • Strong communication, prioritization, delegation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to support safe, efficient patient care in a team-based acute care setting
  • Experience with clinical documentation and patient care coordination

Responsibilities

  • Lead nursing care delivery while maintaining quality standards, patient safety, and efficient unit operations
  • Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care
  • Coordinate with patients, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support continuity of care
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and on time
  • Support discharge planning and patient education from admission through discharge
  • Supervise, train, and direct ancillary nursing personnel as needed
  • Promote a calm, organized, and supportive hospital unit environment
  • Monitor supplies, communicate unit needs, and help maintain efficient clinical operations
  • Provide charge nurse responsibilities after orientation, as assigned
  • Contribute to ongoing professional growth, teamwork, and high-quality healthcare delivery
