Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
- At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing or acute care nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- COVID vaccination required
- Ability to provide requested submission details, including identification information and requested time off
- Must meet facility screening requirements, including a negative drug screen
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient bedside nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
- Monitor patient conditions, assess changes, and respond appropriately to evolving clinical needs in an acute care environment
- Administer medications and treatments according to established care plans and provider orders
- Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in EPIC
- Support patient education, discharge planning, and ongoing care coordination
- Maintain a professional, flexible approach while working 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting
