- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends
- Orientation: Bi-weekly
- Setting: Adult Medical/Surgical unit
Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required prior to start
- At least 1 year of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience preferred
- ACLS certification required
- BSN preferred
- Strong critical thinking skills and sound clinical judgment
- Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Comfort working with adult and geriatric patients
- Experience with Cerner is a plus
Med/Surg RN Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to adult and geriatric Med/Surg patients
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support positive outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with care plans and policies
- Utilize telemetry, IV pumps, bladder scanners, and other common Med/Surg equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Support unit workflow, including occasional floating as needed
- Deliver reliable, patient-centered nursing care while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail
