- Unit Schedule: Rotating weekends
Job Requirements
- Active Michigan RN license required prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
- ACLS certification required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and decisive judgment skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
- Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients preferred
- Experience with Cerner EHR and hospital-based clinical equipment is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical patients
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Use sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced acute care nursing environment
- Administer and manage care using telemetry, IV pumps, bladder scanners, and other unit equipment
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the Cerner EHR
- Float occasionally to similar units as needed
- Maintain professionalism, attendance, and reliable shift coverage throughout the assignment
