- Orientation: Bi-weekly
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Float Expectation: Yes, may float as second nurse to Telemetry and ED
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
- BLS and NIH certification required
- Meditech experience preferred
- Associate degree in Nursing required
- Ability to care for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Willingness to float as needed to support unit needs
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care to Med/Surg patients
- Monitor and assess patients with medical and post-surgical needs
- Maintain accurate documentation using the MEDITECH EHR system
- Collaborate with the care team to support quality patient outcomes
- Support telemetry monitoring and assist with unit flow as needed
- Provide care in a fast-paced environment with patient ratios of approximately 6:1 to 7:1
- Adapt to float assignments while maintaining excellent patient care standards
