Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (competitive travel RN pay)
• Location: Albany, GA 31701 (Southwest Georgia travel nursing)
• Contract Duration: 17 weeks (Start: 4/27/2026 – End: 8/24/2026)
• Setting: Acute Care – Med/Surg Unit (44 beds)
• Shift: 12-hour days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
• Hours: 48 hours per week, guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Scrub Color: Caribbean Blue
• Orientation: 1 week general orientation, plus 2 days floor-specific orientation

Qualifications & Certifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience (acute care experience preferred)
• Active RN license
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS (AHA) certification required
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred (experience with other EMRs is a plus)
• Must meet a strict 75-mile radius requirement from the address on driver's license to hospital

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based patient care on the Med/Surg unit as a Travel RN
• Manage patient ratios of 1:5, occasionally 1:6, and collaborate with CNAs and nurse aides (ratios 1:8, generally 1:10)
• Float to acute care, cardio, or Emergency Center (EC) units as needed
• Participate in accurate charting and documentation using Meditech EMR (electronic medical records)
• Adhere to hospital policies, including coverage for weekends and holidays when required
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes and clinical workflows
