Med/Surg Travel Nurse (RN) – Night Shift in Phoenix, AZ. 13-week travel assignment, 12-hour nights, competitive weekly pay. Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (must meet state requirements for travel assignments)
  • BLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
  • ACLS Certification (required prior to first shift)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience in Med/Surg (2 years highly desired)
  • Strong patient assessment, documentation, and communication skills (electronic charting experience a plus)

Key Responsibilities (Medical-Surgical Nursing)

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for Med/Surg patients (medical-surgical patient care, patient assessment)
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and orientees
  • Promote and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to all safety and infection control protocols
  • Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly in the medical record
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and contribute to discharge planning and care coordination
  • Provide patient and family education to support recovery and discharge goals
  • Maintain effective communication with physicians, charge nurses, and other clinical team members
  • Demonstrate leadership, clinical judgment, and teamwork in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
