Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Interim Assistant Nurse Manager | San Leandro, CA Travel Assignment

Travel RN Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $4,500–$4,740
- Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
- Location: San Leandro, California
- Start Date: November 2, 2026
- End Date: February 1, 2027
- Schedule: Five 8-hour night shifts per week
- Shift: 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Healthcare Setting: Medical-surgical and telemetry services
- Work Environment: On-site; flexibility to float within the hospital or between campuses may be required
Med/Surg Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active, permanent California Registered Nurse (RN) license; temporary or emergency licenses are not accepted
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- At least 2 years of recent nursing experience, preferably in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting
- Demonstrated leadership, delegation, and nursing team coordination abilities
- Previous charge nurse, assistant nurse manager, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to changing unit needs
- Willingness to float within the hospital or between campuses as needed
- Professional references required
Interim Assistant Nurse Manager Responsibilities
- Support daily clinical operations for medical-surgical and telemetry nursing services
- Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to nursing staff during assigned shifts
- Promote safe, efficient, and patient-centered care practices
- Assist with staffing coordination, workflow management, and resolution of patient care concerns
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes
- Monitor compliance with clinical standards, hospital policies, and nursing procedures
- Participate in transitions and process improvements across assigned medical-surgical and telemetry services
- Float to other units or campuses when operational needs require
