Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Location: Willoughby, OH 44094 — Lake Erie area, easy access to downtown and parks
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 1, 2026 – August 30, 2026)
- Setting: 45-bed Medical-Surgical unit with 28 telemetry beds
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — Night Shift RN / Telemetry RN
- Hours per Week: 36
- Employment Type: Travel nurse / Travel assignment
- Virtual Nurse Assistance: Hospital-wide virtual nurse support available
- Patient Ratio: 1:4 – 1:6 (typical med/surg/telemetry ratios)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — state of Ohio or compact RN license accepted
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience; telemetry experience preferred
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- Willingness to work every other weekend and every other holiday as needed
- Completion of required health screenings and immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, TB/PPD, COVID-19, Influenza as applicable)
- Successful background check and drug screening
- Skills checklist and competency exam as required by facility
- Valid Driver's License or State ID
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in a medical-surgical and telemetry setting
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms for assigned patients
- Administer medications and perform treatments per hospital protocols and standing orders
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, case managers, and nursing leadership
- Utilize virtual nurse assistance and other hospital resources to support patient care delivery
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
