Travel Nursing Job Details

- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370

- Start Date: October 23, 2026
- End Date: January 22, 2027
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
- Shift Times: Days, 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.; nights, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
- Hours: 36 hours per week
- Healthcare Setting: On-site medical-surgical telemetry unit
- Additional Scheduling: Travelers should be prepared to work at least every other holiday and may float to comparable units caring for the same patient population as operational needs require.
Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
- At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty
- Ability to complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
- Strong telemetry assessment, acute-care nursing, clinical judgment, communication, and time-management skills
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting
- Perform focused and comprehensive patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize clinical deterioration, and respond according to established protocols
- Administer medications and treatments safely while evaluating patient responses
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate individualized plans of care
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, safety, and discharge needs
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation and follow all clinical and patient-safety standards
- Adapt to rotating day and night assignments and float to comparable units when needed
