- Weekend Coverage: Required
- Float Expectation: May float between units and nearby sister facilities
- Charting System: Epic or equivalent experience preferred
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
- Current Registered Nurse license in the applicable state or compact license in hand at submission
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Experience caring for patients with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Strong telemetry nursing skills, including rhythm interpretation and dysrhythmia management
- Experience with rapid response/code teams and neuro stepdown or stroke-related care preferred
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced acute care environment
- Willingness to work required weekend shifts and selected holidays
- Two references covering recent experience within the last 3 years
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Support patients with neurological, stroke, and post-surgical needs
- Perform routine nursing assessments, medication administration, and patient education
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to support safe, high-quality care
- Assist with rapid response interventions and escalation of care when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Follow unit protocols, safety standards, and infection prevention practices
- Adapt to floating assignments as needed to support patient care across the facility
