Travel RN Job Details

- Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
- Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
- Orientation: 16 hours, with required pre-start learning modules
- Location: On-site in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, near Cleveland
Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with a permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at the time of submission
- At least 1 year of combined permanent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications; pending certifications are not accepted
- Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty, from an assignment completed within the past 12 months
- Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and medication safety knowledge
- Successful completion of required background, drug screening, health screening, and nursing compliance requirements
- COVID-19 and influenza vaccination, with applicable medical or religious exemptions considered according to policy
- Successful completion of orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety evaluation
Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nursing Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients during overnight shifts
- Perform nursing assessments, monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms, and promptly identify changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with orders, protocols, and nursing standards
- Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, fall prevention, and quality outcomes
- Support a respectful, team-oriented environment while advocating for patient needs
