Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience prior to travel
• Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact State RN license required
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS certifications
• One supervisory reference in Med/Surg Telemetry (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director)
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Background check and fingerprinting required prior to start

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding quickly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Educate and support patients and families regarding care and recovery
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
