Travel RN – Med/Surg Telemetry (Night), Des Moines, IA | 13-week travel nursing contract. Seeking an experienced Telemetry RN to join the 7 South Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a leading medical center in Des Moines, Iowa.

- Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
- Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (Des Moines healthcare, Iowa nursing jobs)
- Unit: 7 South Med/Surg Telemetry
- Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel RN, travel nursing job)
- Start Date: April 6, 2026
- End Date: July 5, 2026
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
- Employment Type: W2
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Float: Must be willing to float between Mercy Main and West Campus as needed
Qualifications & Job Requirements – Telemetry RN
- Active RN license in applicable state (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry specialty)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (clinical experience interpreting telemetry/cardiac rhythms)
- Proficient in telemetry cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
- Ability and willingness to float between Mercy Main and West Campus
- Completion of all onboarding requirements: background check, drug screen, health screenings, and competency testing
- Current immunizations required: COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, TB/PPD
- Physical/Health Statement and education verification required
Responsibilities – Clinical & Telemetry Nursing
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit (medical/surgical nursing)
- Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry readings and cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Perform thorough patient assessments, document interventions, and accurately report outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Support unit staffing by floating between Mercy Main and West Campus as needed
- Work scheduled night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday, as required for this travel nursing assignment
