• Start Date: March 1, 2026
• End Date: May 30, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights) — Night Shift RN
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,750–$1,840 per week

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or an active compact nursing license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry (Med/Surg Tele) experience; neurology experience preferred
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
• Comfortable and experienced with 12-hour night shifts, including every other weekend and holiday scheduling
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient assessment skills
• Compliance with onboarding requirements, including health screenings and background checks

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry (neurology) unit
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case managers) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, perform thorough assessments, and document patient progress accurately in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and efficient environment for patients and staff in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry setting
