Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Leonardtown, Maryland (zip 20650) – Maryland nursing jobs
• Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (Adult Only)
• Contract Type: Travel RN contract
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: April 27, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts per Week: 3 (12-hour night shifts: 19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Orientation: 24 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Current Compact or Maryland RN license (required for Maryland healthcare jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Successful completion of Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam (minimum 80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms)
• Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity
• Two supervisor references
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• First-time travel nurses welcome

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid response/code teams
• Administer medications, manage central and peripheral lines, and perform wound care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services
• Float to similar units as needed to support patient care
• Accurately document patient care and complete required orientation modules
