Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active New York State RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- NIHSS certification
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently in a collaborative care environment
Responsibilities
- Deliver competent, patient-centered nursing care based on established standards and best practices
- Monitor and respond to telemetry findings as part of routine inpatient care
- Support patients with neuromusculoskeletal and medical-surgical needs in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse managers, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, high-quality outcomes
- Take on expanded duties such as charge nurse, preceptor, or committee participation as needed
- Maintain professionalism while working varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, and charge responsibilities based on unit needs
