Travel RN Job Details (Fargo, ND)

• Location: Fargo, ND (58104)
• Start Date: March 16, 2026
• End Date: June 15, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Care Setting: Acute; Trauma Level: 1
• Primary Unit: Med-Surg Neuro (32-bed unit)
• Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend and every other holiday
• Patient Ratios: Days 4–5:1; Nights 6:1
• Charting/EMR: Epic
• Equipment: Omnicell, Alaris IV pumps
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue

Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements

• RN Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Clinical Skills: Strong med/surg nursing background; neuro nursing experience preferred (not required)
• Trauma: Level 1 trauma experience required
• License: Active North Dakota RN license or Compact RN license (active by start date)
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
• EMR: Epic experience required
• Float: Willing to float to other med/surg units and locations within Fargo as needed

Eligibility & Submission Notes

• Local traveler restriction: Travelers living within a 60-mile radius of the facility are not accepted.
• Prior employment: Note in submission if the clinician has ever worked for the facility/health system. If yes, the clinician must have ended employment at least 6 months prior to submission.
• Timekeeping: Clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.

Neuro / Med-Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality bedside nursing care for med/surg and neuro patient populations in an acute-care setting
• Complete comprehensive assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment
• Administer medications and IV therapies, monitor for adverse reactions, and escalate changes in patient condition promptly
• Document accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR, supporting timely charting and clear interdisciplinary communication
• Collaborate with physicians, therapy teams, case management, and ancillary departments to support patient progression and discharge planning
• Maintain patient safety standards, including fall precautions, neuro checks as indicated, and infection prevention practices
• Float to other med/surg units as needed while maintaining consistent quality, professionalism, and patient-centered care
