• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,830 – $8,090 (competitive locum tenens pay)
• Practice Setting: Hospital-Based, Trauma Level II — inpatient neurology and acute stroke coverage
• Average Patients/Day: ~20 hospital-based neurology patients per day
• EMR: Epic
• Travel Reimbursement: Flight, hotel, mileage, and rental car covered

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient neurology care, including evaluations, consults, and management of hospitalized patients
• Respond to and manage acute stroke cases, including thrombolytic therapy when indicated
• Perform neurology procedures as required (e.g., lumbar puncture)
• Collaborate with hospitalists, ED physicians, neurosurgery, and advanced practice providers for coordinated patient care
• Document thoroughly in Epic EMR and participate in on-site call coverage during scheduled shifts

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of clinical neurology experience in an inpatient setting
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
• Active South Carolina medical license (or ability to obtain) and current DEA registration
• Current BLS certification; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS) preferred
• 100% clean background required; Self-Query NPDB report pulled within 30 days
