Job Details

• Location: Loveland, CO (coverage at Greeley Hospital, PVH, and MCR in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Greeley)
• Role: 100% Inpatient Neuro Hospitalist – adult patients (Locum tenens neurologist / hospitalist neurology job)
• Shifts: 24-hour shifts (Inpatient and telestroke coverage 6a–6p; night call 6p–6a)
• Shifts per Month: 12–15 total shifts
• Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,150 – $7,280 (competitive locum tenens pay)
• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Duration: 13 weeks (with potential to extend)
• EMR: Epic

Key Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Board Certified in Neurology (Board Certified Neurologist)
• Active Colorado medical license preferred (active IMLC with LOQ considered)
• Minimum 1 year inpatient neurology experience (hospitalist neurology experience)
• Stroke telemedicine / telestroke experience required
• Available for both day and night shifts
• Clean malpractice and background history
• BLS certification (must be obtained prior to start)
• COVID-19 vaccination required
• Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the month) at time of presentation

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient neurology care as the Neuro Hospitalist, including telestroke evaluations and management
• Manage an average census of 15 patients per day across three hospitals
• Participate in a 5-physician rotation (no mid-levels) for inpatient coverage
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary hospital staff and the dedicated stroke team for timely stroke care and transfers
• Respond to night call (6p–6a) as part of the rotation and provide high-quality acute neurology coverage
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR and adhere to hospital policies
