NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Lubbock, TX | Level IV NICU

- Scheduling: Self-scheduling with block scheduling support
- Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
- Floating: May float between units and nearby sister facilities as needed
- Charting System: Epic
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at submission if applicable
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience required
- Level III or higher NICU experience strongly preferred
- BLS and NRP Advanced certifications required
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Comfort caring for neonates with complex conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, sepsis, and HIE
- Ability to work 3 of the 5 major holidays during the contract period
- Strong clinical skills in neonatal assessment, monitoring, and specialized interventions
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate care to critically ill and high-risk neonates in the NICU
- Monitor and manage infants requiring ventilator support, CPAP, oxygen delivery systems, and invasive lines
- Administer medications, blood products, and treatments according to neonatal protocols
- Support feeding, growth, thermoregulation, and family education throughout the care experience
- Perform and assist with advanced neonatal procedures and ongoing assessments
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
- Float as needed to support related pediatric areas within scope and facility needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards in a high-acuity environment
