- Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,340 - $2,460
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
- Call: Voluntary call only if needed
- Floating: As needed
Job Requirements
- Active California RN license
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of Level III or Level IV NICU experience
- Charge nurse and high-risk delivery experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Epic charting preferred/required
- Community hospital experience required
- Travel nurse experience required
- Strong clinical knowledge in neonatal care, monitoring, and emergency response
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible floating assignments
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, holistic neonatal nursing care in an acute care NICU setting
- Assess, coordinate, and evaluate nursing care plans for critically ill and high-risk newborns
- Support patient and family education throughout the course of care
- Monitor neonatal status and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, social services, and other interdisciplinary partners
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide advanced neonatal support as needed
- Administer and manage neonatal medications, IV therapies, and supportive treatments
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
