NICU Registered Nurse - Travel Assignment in Spokane, Washington

Travel NICU RN opportunity in Spokane, WA 99204: join a teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation and provide expert neonatal care in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse for a travel nurse assignment in Spokane, Washington. This opportunity is ideal for a compassionate Registered Nurse who is passionate about neonatal intensive care, thrives in a teaching-hospital setting, and enjoys working with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team.

  • Weekend Coverage: Required, every other weekend or as needed
  • Floating: May float between units and nearby sister facilities as needed
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,050 - $2,160

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of NICU nursing experience required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
  • Compact RN license accepted if current and valid
  • BLS and NRP required
  • Epic experience required, or willingness to demonstrate proficiency
  • Experience caring for neonates and managing ratios of 1:1 to 1:3
  • Comfortable working nights, weekends, and in a dynamic neonatal/pediatric environment
  • Must be flexible with floating expectations

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates in the NICU
  • Monitor and assess critically ill newborns and respond to changes in condition
  • Administer medications, blood products, and respiratory support therapies per unit standards
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and other support services
  • Support developmental care, feeding plans, thermoregulation, and family education
  • Safely manage complex neonatal equipment and interventions as appropriate
  • Document accurately in Epic and maintain excellent communication throughout the shift
  • Promote safety, compassion, and strong patient outcomes in every aspect of care
