Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine or a related imaging role
- Current BLS certification
- California NMTC license/certification
- NMTCB certification and/or ARRT(N) certification required
- Strong understanding of nuclear medicine procedures, patient safety, and imaging protocols
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented approach
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with department standards and physician orders
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging exams
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Operate imaging equipment and ensure high-quality image acquisition
- Follow all radiation safety, infection control, and patient care protocols
- Document procedures and maintain accurate records
- Provide compassionate, professional care throughout the patient experience
