• Location: Louisville, KY 40207 (travel nursing assignment)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2020-$2130
• Setting: Antepartum Unit (may float to Labor & Delivery as needed)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (13-week contract)
• Start Date: April 6, 2026
• End Date: July 6, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults (maternal-fetal care)
• Unit Size: 15 beds; average daily census 6

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Antepartum RN or OB RN experience (high-risk pregnancy experience preferred)
• Travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)
• Active Kentucky RN license or compact RN license (in hand at submission)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP; AWHONN (Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced) and FHM preferred
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic charting system
• Two professional references required
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
• Must be willing to float to Labor & Delivery and assist with high-risk deliveries

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality antepartum nursing care for patients with routine and high-risk pregnancies
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being using advanced fetal monitoring (FHM) and maternal-fetal assessment tools
• Assist with specialized obstetric procedures: amniocentesis, oxytocin challenge tests, sterile speculum exams
• Administer medications and therapies including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, antihypertensives, and blood products
• Support and educate patients and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (OB/GYN physicians, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, PT, social services) for coordinated perinatal care
• Float to Labor & Delivery as needed to support high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and participate in rapid response and code teams as required
