Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $7,340 - $7,870
• Location: Burbank, CA 91505 (Southern California / Los Angeles area)
• Position Type: Locum tenens Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician; clinic and hospital coverage (labor & delivery, on-call)
• Start Date: August 3, 2026
• Duration: Ongoing assignment
• Schedule: 3-4 days per week, typical clinic 9:00am-4:00pm (option to start 8:30am); on-call 3-4 days per week (weekday call 5pm-7am or weekend 24hr call 7am-7am)
• Guaranteed Hours: 8 hours/day
• Patient Encounters Per Shift: 18-20

Job Requirements

• Active California medical license and DEA registration required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in OB-GYN with labor & delivery exposure
• Ability to provide case logs and clinical documentation for credentialing
• Comfortable covering both clinic and hospital settings, including deliveries and scheduled on-call shifts

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care across clinic and hospital settings, emphasizing high-quality maternal-fetal and women's health services
• Manage low- and high-risk pregnancies, perform fetal monitoring and interpret NST/CST/FSE tracings
• Perform and interpret routine OB ultrasounds (Level I / screening)
• Conduct routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal births, operative vaginal deliveries (low forceps), C-sections, breech, multiple births, and VBACs
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree perineal lacerations and manage obstetric emergencies (abruption, postpartum hemorrhage)
• Perform office gynecology procedures such as IUD placement/removal, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, and cystoscopy
• Participate in surgical gynecology including open and laparoscopic diagnostic/minor and operative procedures
• Provide reliable on-call coverage as scheduled and collaborate with nursing, midwifery, anesthesia, and pediatrics teams to ensure coordinated perinatal care
