Job Requirements

  • Board Certified Physician (MD) in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent OB/GYN clinical experience
  • Valid state medical license (Arizona license preferred or eligible for locum licensure)
  • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
  • Proficiency managing both low? and high?risk pregnancies
  • Experience with fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), OB ultrasounds (Level I & II), and routine/complicated deliveries
  • Skilled in office/minor gynecology procedures (IUD placement, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
  • Competency in surgical gynecology (open and laparoscopic procedures)
  • Laser certification required

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care for low? and high?risk pregnancies during locum tenens coverage
  • Interpret fetal heart rate tracings and perform/interpret OB ultrasounds
  • Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, C?section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
  • Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
  • Perform office and minor gynecologic procedures
  • Conduct open and laparoscopic gynecological surgeries as indicated
  • Collaborate with nursing and ancillary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Coordinate transfers of high?risk or trauma patients to a designated trauma hospital when necessary
