Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license required
- Compact RN license must be in hand at submission
- At least 1 year of nursing experience required
- Occupational health, employee health, or related clinical experience preferred
- Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, including OSHA, CDC, The Joint Commission, and local health department standards
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even under pressure
- Friendly, service-oriented communication style
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Willingness to learn a new in-house electronic health record (EHR) system
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational health nursing support and caregiver health services
- Support safe return-to-work practices and workplace wellness initiatives
- Perform pre-employment health screenings and coordinate with internal partners regarding accommodations or unique health screening needs
- Manage surveillance services related to tuberculosis, hazardous drugs, lead, hearing conservation, and other occupational exposures
- Administer vaccinations in alignment with policy and clinical guidelines
- Support caregivers with exposure management for blood/body fluid incidents and infectious disease concerns
- Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential employee health records
- Participate in huddles, committees, and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve safety, health, and well-being
- Review occupational incident data and help identify trends and prevention strategies
- Contribute to standard operating procedures, clinical workflows, and special projects
- Manage supplies and maintain equipment readiness for daily operations
- Provide on-site support as needed and help promote a culture of health, safety, and service excellence
