We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel nursing assignment on an adult Medical-Surgical Oncology and Telemetry unit in Jackson, Tennessee. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800–$1,890
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Location: Jackson, Tennessee
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Shift: Night shift, 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric oncology, hematology, medical-surgical, and telemetry patients
• Typical Patient Ratio: 4–5 patients
• Unit Size: 36 beds with an average daily census of approximately 34 patients
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Floating: Willingness to float to other Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units is required

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or an active compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Registered Nurse experience, preferably in oncology, medical-surgical, or telemetry nursing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Recent Epic experience within the past 18 months, clearly documented in the professional profile
• Ability to successfully complete the required Epic competency assessment
• Strong telemetry monitoring and medical-surgical nursing assessment skills
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and float assignments as needed

Medical-Surgical Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology, hematology, medical-surgical, and telemetry patients
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy according to established clinical protocols
• Assess patients, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to cardiac and clinical changes
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, ports, peripheral IVs, blood products, feeding tubes, chest tubes, surgical drains, and wound care needs
• Provide oxygen therapy, non-invasive airway management, and other respiratory support as indicated
• Administer medications and manage therapies such as heparin and IV insulin protocols in accordance with policy
• Document patient care accurately in Epic
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, rehabilitation, social services, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Support safe patient transitions, patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
• Float to other Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units while maintaining high standards of patient care
