Job Details
- Position: CVOR Surgical Technologist / Surgical Tech / OR Tech
- Type: Travel surgical technologist assignment
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 10/5/2026
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,030 - $2,190
- Setting: Cardiovascular OR / Open Heart Surgery
- Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46804
- Additional Details: On-call as needed; floating to the main OR may be required
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical technology experience required
- Current CST certification required from NBSTSA
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong cardiac surgery skills required
- Thoracic da Vinci experience preferred
- Cerner experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced cardiovascular OR environment
- Must be able to provide required license and certifications with submission
- Travelers must live more than 50 miles from the facility
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular, cardiac, and open heart procedures
- Prepare the surgical field and maintain a sterile environment throughout the case
- Pass instruments and supplies efficiently during surgery
- Support smooth room turnover to help keep surgical cases moving
- Assist with patient positioning and OR room setup as needed
- Collaborate closely with the operating room team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Be available for on-call coverage when needed
- Float to the main OR if assigned
